My partner in life, soulmate and biggest cheerleader. Almost 15 years into marriage, I'm still so in love with this man and incredibly grateful for the impact he's had on my life. There's no one I'd rather have beside me as I step into 40.

My sister and forever adventure partner. We couldn't be more different, but somehow those differences are exactly what make us the perfect dynamic duo. Her strengths complement mine, and I'm endlessly grateful for our bond.

My brother-in-law, but more affectionately known as my Bro-Ham. He's never felt like family simply because of marriage - he truly feels like my brother. Whether we're having deep conversations or simply vibing, there's an ease between us that I've always appreciated.

My cousin who has always felt a little more like a sister. She's down-to-earth, hilarious and one of those people you can go without seeing and immediately pick up right where you left off.

Courtney's other half and someone who fits into our family so naturally that it feels like he's always belonged. Thoughtful, attentive and genuinely a good person - I'm grateful he's part of our family.

More than 13 years of friendship, countless memories and both hard and beautiful seasons - Krista is family. She's one of those rare friends I truly can't imagine doing life without, so having her here for 40 means more than she probably knows.

After 13+ years, Tony isn't my friend's husband - he's my brother. He's my favorite great debater, someone I could talk with for hours and the kind of person I know would be there if we ever needed him.

Pastor turned friend turned family. Jomo married Rashad and me almost 15 years ago, and since then he's become an integral part of our lives - someone we love, respect, learn from and genuinely enjoy doing life with.

Pastor turned friend, family and absolute powerhouse. Charmaine has one of the purest hearts I know, and the way she pours into family, friends and church inspires me. Being able to learn from her while also calling her my friend is a privilege.

One of those friendships I didn't know I needed until it found me. Erika is vibrant, loyal, positive and absolutely lights up a room when she enters it. I'm so grateful for how close we've grown.

Don't let the quiet demeanor fool you - Derrick is hilarious. He's also an amazing cook, an even better baker and someone who has genuinely been there for me. I'm grateful that through Erika I gained another wonderful friend in Derrick.

Gina from the Booth! Quiet and reserved at first, but incredibly observant, smart and a wealth of knowledge. An escape room made me realize just how similarly we think, and I love that she's always unapologetically herself.

Friend turned sister - and that's quite literally what we call each other. Our kids have grown up together, she's my foodie partner and she's one of those people I can do absolutely nothing with and still have a great time.

One of those people with an undeniable cool factor. Whether it's her personality, style or simply the energy she carries, people naturally gravitate toward her. Over the years we've grown from friends into family, and I'm so grateful for her.

Another one of our quietly hilarious crew members. He may seem reserved at first, but once Lance gets comfortable and lets his hair down, you get the full experience - and it's always a good time.
